Hanging

The sky is clear, and I am old,
At last I have been caught.
With all my clever schemes and plans,
Alas they are for nought.
Passion’s crime, that of the heart,
Excuses could be used,
But in the end I’m evil’s host,
And all my trust abused.
The hemp that forms my collar tight,
’tis right and just deserved,
And where my place in heaven was,
No longer is reserved.
While dragged I am by baying hoard,
Towards the gallows high,
I shed no tear for I am old,
And oh so clear the sky.

I Name Thee

Wickedness, I name thee,
For all the pain you cause,
Not once did pity cross your mind,
Nor give you moments pause.

Cruelty, I name thee,
For all the spite revealed,
Giving air to words of hate,
To make me so to kneel.

Jealousy, I name thee,
My happiness you stole,
Forever stay me in the dark,
My misery your goal.

Murderer, I name thee,
You killed the soul of me,
Forever now I roam the world,
You couldn’t let me be.

Stalking

All at once, a life extinguished,
Dark the deed by one who can’t
Distinguish between good or ill,
And through the night forever
Will be seen among the shadows deep,
To trawl through all our waking
Sleep and bring to light such evil scenes,
And tracks our footsteps where we’ve
Been with lovers old & friends brand new
And maybe soon he’ll come see
You.

Evil Is As Evil Does

A callous act, a guilt returned,
To punish those for what was spurned.
So swift to hurt, not one regret,
And with a cruelty not seen yet.

Evil is, as evil does,
Even Satan was once above.

A wicked sin, a cold regard,
And thinking all are on their guard,
A blinding light, though dark revealed,
While all at once a fate so sealed.

Evil is, as evil does,
Even Satan was once above.

A legend writ, and oft foretold,
With ink of blood in pages old,
In hist’ry’s book, to all allayed,
There seen dark warnings so displayed.

Evil is, as evil does,
Even Satan was once above.

The Demon And The Priest

The girl who cried among the pews,
Looked lost and so alone.
What sin so great to shame the stars,
Could call her to atone.

The priest in black with holy eye,
Beseeched her, take her bow.
But stood before this diety false,
She never would kow tow.

“But child”, he spake among the dark,
“What chance to be redeemed,
If not the knee you take to bend,
And ‘fore the Lord be seen?”

The tears from eyes not innocent,
Then dried upon her cheek.
And with a voice not of the earth,
She then began to speak.

“False priest”, she calmly said to him,
“Do not mistake this form.
I am so come to free you from
Your piety so forlorn.”

As holy candles lost their flame,
A darkness fell about.
But from the pews a glow was seen,
And priest gave forth a shout.

“Begone foul spawn, I know thy name,
O damn-ed Lord of flies,
Lest I call down the one true God,
To smite you from the skies.”

A rumbled laugh rolled through the church,
To shake the very soul.
This demon foul would not be swayed,
The priest would be his goal.

“Your vows are weak, your faith has gone,
Your prayers no more are heard.
Your followers have fled the field,
You have no flock to herd.”

The priest knew then that all was lost,
He’d failed this final test.
No longer now live in the light,
Be at the darks behest.

Where once a church stood proud and true,
There are now only stones.
Where once a priest held strong to faith,
There is now only bones.

We Evil Few

Thru damp and dark city bowels where missing children
Call and howl,
We chase the dream of one more score,
Not trusting fate to open doors;
A life of grime is ours to own where wicked deeds place
Kings on thrones,
The shining knife or blunted wood,
The tools that break the great and good;
No sun will see us evil men for darkness is our
One true friend,
It hides our acts of villainy,
Those things that even Gods don’t see;
For we are those you fear to meet down alleys black and
Dead end streets,
The cutthroats and the deadly few,
Who in the night may call on you;
So lock the windows bar the doors and softly tread
upon the floor,
We evil footpads are abroad,
The night is ours forever more.

Darkness

This started quite short, but then I wanted to try and turn it into a bit of a longer one. Not sure I’ve got all the imagery right, but I hope you like it.

Foul deeds occur
In darkened rooms where eyes
And ears are not allowed;
Hidden so from
Innocence and all that
Common men avow.

Where light denied
By shadowed walls will cause
The heart to fade and die;
Final thought of
Redemption sweet that life
In haste has soon gone by.

Remove thyself
From out the light for none
May save thy damaged soul;
Beneath the earth
In halls of dust forsook
By heavens angels all.

No more comfort
To be found for shadows
Now thy only cover;
The burning sun
Now turns it face away
As though a spurned lover.

And there within
This cell of night a man
Bent double cloaked in jet;
The glint of eyes
Of inner hell that speaks
To pain not tasted yet.

Call not for help
From passers by as you
Are long forsaken now;
Behold your fate
At gnarl-ed claw and so
To knee you make your bow.

No more the sun
Will dance on skin as you
Assume your place in hell;
In darkness deep
Where souls are lost you now
Forever are to dwell.
