Did you know your “comments” box is closed on your “Charity Shop” poem?

    • Simon says:

Yes Robin, It’s only posts going forward from “From The Author” that will be open for comments. Thanks for following my blog.

Thank you. I have no idea what all the ‘award’ stuff is about, but if you think this blog is worthy of any recognition, then I’m truly touched. Thank you.

Hey there! I’ve just nominated you for the “Liebster Award” that is given to outstanding blogs that inspire or help others through their daily walk. Congratulations! 😀 Please check out this link to see what to do next:
http://initialell.wordpress.com/2013/03/01/this-page/ Your poetry does something to me that I can’t explain. It’s corny… but… I suppose you could say it cuts me deep, man. Cheers! L.

  10. Looking forward to reading more on your blog 🙂

Meh! My bad!!! – I honesttly thought I was following your blog all along…. Everytime I came to your blog (or should I say visited?) Anyway, it would say ‘following’ at the top of the page… But I always wondered why I never received e-mail notifications about your new work!! But today I went all the way to the bottom and it had a link that said ‘follow’ – and so, I clicked it……. And yay 😀 I am now officially following your awesomeness and thank you so much for following my blog! Your likes and comments always make my day better! 🙂

    • Simon says:

The same goes for me – every positive comment I get, I am truly thankful, even though just typing the words “thank you” in a comments box doesn’t do justice to how grateful I am.

  15. Having a party and you’re invited. Bring your own sleeping bag.

  16. Congratulations, Simon, you`ve been tagged by the nicest lady in Scotland:)

  17. That’s Oliana over at Whispering Insights. She obviously thinks I’m the nicest lady in Scotland. Whoo hoo! Go me. Oliana’s just lovely and a total treasure. She sorted my ass out when I finished school for the holidays, going into an apres-school/parents are bastards kind of rant.

Oh God the holidays are nearly over.

Anyway, it is me. Who new, eh? I’m gonna get that mounted for my kitchen wall. Might even take one into school. Go me again. Dead chuffed.x

  18. Did you not click on my link, ya wee bugger? Either you missed a great party or it was you in the bushes.x

    • Simon says:

Is this the ‘award’ thing? I don’t accept them, I’m sorry 😦

      • Don’t be. They’re lots of work. I’m trying to incorporate ‘writing’ into them. Still think your work is fab even if you don’t do awards.
        Gie’s another song.x

      • Simon says:

I honestly appreciate all your supportive comments. Thank you. You’re far too generous and kind. And I especially appreciate the comment on my “Birmingham Jail” one.
I’m working on a few covers, I may record another one over the weekend. If I do, I’ll post it up.

      • Sure thing.x

  20. Good Morning, Simon, I have nominated you for the Very Inspired Blogger Award. That’s right, because your writing inspires me to write more and better…really! Congratulations. You can see the rules at http://wp.me/p3ia4v-uV, Oliana, Whispering Insights.

  21. Uh-Oh, just read you do not accept awards…oh well, that’s okay, just so you know you were still nominated. Oliana

  22. The jury has returned and the verdict been given. If anyone chooses not to experiment with poetry, it will be their loss. I was not disapponted. Splendid. 🙂 x

    • Simon says:

Dear heart… Your review made me cry. Honestly. You are far too generous and giving with your comments. Whatever power placed you in the path of my work, I thank them with all I am. You have made a sad man very happy. Thank you so much. X

      • You are the author, the poet, the artist. I merely appreciate what is intrinsic in your work and your soul. Every word was well deserved and honestly given. I had great pleasure in reading your insights. I know it is a book I will revisit.
Keep up with the charmed insights and please don’t be sad. A heart so purely driven must know love; to give and receive.x

      • Simon says:

You are a poet among poets, and artist among artists. Thank you, most sincerely.

  24. Why are the comments closed in your earlier posts? It’s doing my head in. The Flash Fiction, particularly. How frustrating to want to say something and not be able to.x

    • Simon says:

Sorry dear heart… I turned them off ages ago. I can’t turn them on tomorrow if you want me to 🙂

      • It’s just that so many of the pieces need comment.
You don’t have to. It just seems a pity to still have all those amazing stories there, to be able to read them and not be able to say anything about their impact. You know me, I like to make comment! There’s no shutting me up if truth be told. But you must have had your reasons for turning off the comments. Why did you? And that’s me honestly just being nosy so there’s no need to answer. 🙂 And your thingy contact thingy doesn’t work either. I was getting so aggravated I was going to tell you. Then I remembered your About page.x

      • Simon says:

I turned them off for two reasons… I was being stalked by a bit of a nut case, and I wanted to see if without the feedback, I still wanted to write. I did 🙂
I’m honestly touched and very grateful you’re going through my older work. I will turn comments on for you tomorrow. If you wanted to email me, its

  25. That’s cool. I can comment away to my heart’s content! 🙂 Although, maybe not. What classifies as a stalker?!x

  26. Too true. I was just in the middle of The…… Reaper part 1 when you answered. I’ll have to save up my comments. :)x

  27. HI,

I’m Tokoni, a student and poet. Its nice to meet you. I’d like to invite you to my blog at http://www.insanitybeautiful.wordpress.com if you’re interested. Thanks.
